Our Founder: Meet Laura Bunting.
Wildlife & Yoga was founded by Laura Bunting and has been recognised by National Geographic for redefining wellness in the wild. Our retreats bring together yoga, nature, and extraordinary wildlife experiences in Kenya and beyond. With expert collaborators like photographer Mia Collis, we curate journeys that combine deep connection, luxury in nature, and unforgettable encounters in the wild.
Hi, I’m Laura Bunting, founder of Wildlife & Yoga. Originally from England, Kenya stole my heart in 2016, and by 2020, it had become my home.
Wildlife & Yoga was born from a deep love of wild places and a vision to create experiences that are as restorative as they are extraordinary. In 2020, while the world stood still, I found myself drawn back to Kenya’s vast landscapes. Teaching yoga online by day and exploring the wilderness by evening, I was reminded of the profound connection that nature offers, a connection I felt compelled to share.
The Heart of Our Retreats
Each retreat is designed as a journey into the wild, curated with care so that every moment feels purposeful and unhurried. Mornings may begin to the call of distant wildlife in Kenya, a yoga practice overlooking the Scottish Highlands, or meditation at sunrise in another corner of the world. Wherever we gather, the rhythm is the same: movement, nature, and connection.
These experiences are not about checking off destinations. They are about presence, slowing down, listening deeply, and allowing the landscape to restore what everyday life often takes away. Guests leave not only with memories of safaris and wild places, but with a sense of lightness, reconnection, and renewal.
Wellness, Accessible to All
Yoga is thoughtfully woven into the rhythm of each day. Whether it is gentle stretches after a flight, silent walks, grounding flows to settle into the camp, or restorative practices after a day on safari, sessions are tailored to how you feel in the moment. You do not need to be an experienced yogi, only open to the practice and the setting.
An Invitation
Our retreats welcome guests from across the world, each bringing their own story. What unites them is the desire to step away from the noise of daily life and into something slower, richer, and nourishing. With nourishing food, exceptional wildlife encounters, and yoga at the heart of it all, these are journeys that stay with you long after you return home. If this calls to you, I would love to hear from you, get in touch.
