In 2023, we decided to take the next step at Wildlife & Yoga by planning private retreats. These experiences are designed for individuals who want to bring their friends, family, yoga students, or colleagues on safari for a custom wellness adventure. Previously, I had attended several private safaris solely to teach yoga, but I did not incorporate the holistic approach I use in my wellness safaris since they were hosted by other guides with their own styles.

One such retreat was a 6-night stay in Tsavo East National Park organised by Stephanie and her friends. Many of the guests had been on safaris for years, and for some it was their first time in the East African Wilderness.

This retreat offered a unique experience compared to traditional safaris. Instead of flying between multiple properties, spending endless hours in cars, and indulging in heavy meals, our private wellness safari provided a slower-paced way to enjoy the wilderness while catching up with friends. We hosted this retreat in January 2023 and couldn't think of a better way to start the year. (If you are looking to organize a bespoke safari, we highly recommend January as a great month to do so!)
